Finally, the wait is over, TYPO3 enthusiasts! The most anticipated event of the year is here: the TYPO3 Conference 2024! Held from November 26–28, 2024, in the vibrant city of Düsseldorf, Germany.

This 3-days event is packed with insightful talks, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities, attendees had a unique chance to engage with TYPO3’s brightest minds and gain valuable insights into the future of web development and digital solutions.

As TYPO3 enthusiasts, we are always eager to collaborate, innovate, and learn from the experts within the community. This year, the T3Planet team had the incredible opportunity to attend #T3CON24, Let’s take a look at what our team had to say about their experience and the key takeaways they gained from TYPO3 Conference 2024!

The countdown to TYPO3 Conference 2024 is on! We’re excited to participate in this event, as we are always passionate about TYPO. Our team, along with our T3AI Product Ambassador Stefan Reinhardt, has arrived at T3CON24 and we’re ready for the most awaited moments of the conference.

The first day of T3CON24 kicked off with exciting sessions and engaging talks. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to connect, learn, and get inspired. Frank Schmidt welcomed all the TYPO3 Enthusaticds with a warm “Welcome to T3CON24” session.

Day 1 of the TYPO3 Conference 2024 concluded with thoughtful reflections on the day’s impactful sessions and engaging discussions.

As we close the first day, we eagerly anticipate the knowledge, innovations, and connections that Day 2 will bring.

Jeffrey kicked off T3CON24 with humor, heart, and a deep dive into the open-source journey of TYPO3. He shared how TYPO3 has been turning pizza into code and making a difference since 1998.

After connecting with TYPO3 enthusiasts during networking, our team eagerly joined the next session, led by Anja Schröder and Patricia Moock. Their session highlighted the intersection of digital governance and sustainability communication, focusing on practical principles and TYPO3’s role in creating a better digital future.

TYPO3’s Role in Digital Governance - The speakers emphasized how TYPO3 can empower organizations in governance and sustainability by offering tools and frameworks that align with modern needs also address the future opportunities in digital Governance.

In his session, Marc Thiele delivered a powerful reminder of the value of attending and hosting independent community events. He drew from his 24 years of experience in event planning and organizing, highlighting the unique benefits that smaller, community-driven gatherings offer alongside larger, specialized, or corporate-organized events.

Marc concluded by encouraging attendees to think about the future of independent events:

• How can we attract and engage younger generations?
• How can we continue building spaces that inspire reflection, gratitude, and collaboration?
• How can we grow meetups and community-led events while maintaining their authenticity?

At the close of Day 2 at T3CON24, our team and Stefan Reinhardt reflected on valuable insights gained through thought-provoking sessions, networking, and a deeper understanding of TYPO3. The highlight was the interactive "TYPO3 Ask Me Anything" with Mathias Bolt Lesniak, which explored updates, future potential, and strengthened the TYPO3 community's collaborative spirit.

Kicking off the next session led by Julia Leusing and Marie Reckendrees shared how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing shopping and e-commerce, transforming how customers shop and helping businesses stay competitive with new strategies.

One of the most insightful sessions on Day 3 was "Pricing Without Hourly Rates and Cost Accounting" led by Markus Hartmann. Our team gained a fresh perspective on pricing strategies, challenging the traditional time-based model widely used by TYPO3 developers.

Day 3 of T3CON24 featured an eye-opening talk by Prof. Dr. Patrick Glauner on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping the global economy and why businesses must act now to adapt. Since the release of tools like ChatGPT in late 2022, AI has gone from being a buzzword to a transformative force in nearly every industry.

Prof. Dr. Patrick Glauner’s talk at T3CON24 highlighted how AI is transforming industries through automation, efficiency, and innovation, urging businesses to adopt AI as a core skill. He emphasized separating hype from reality with practical strategies for leveraging AI effectively.

We, as TYPO3 enthusiasts, always strive to bring the best to our beloved TYPO3 community. With that in mind, we are thrilled to introduce the first-ever TYPO3 AI Extension, crafted with TYPO3 love and designed for everyone!

Following the awards ceremony, the celebration continued with music, dancing, and champagne, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Attendees joined in the festivities, enjoying party songs and lively conversations that marked the perfect ending to an incredible event.
